Stories from Other Cultures

We are starting to read some stories which are set in other countries and in other cultures.

Tales Told in Tents is a collection of stories from Central asia and includes these stories:
The Story of felt - Turkmenistan
The Girl Who Cried a Lake - Kyrgyzstan

Follow the links to see where the countries are.

When you hear the stories, think about how the clothes, actions and events, food, and words are different from other stories.

2011

I hope you had a good holiday and a good rest.

I am starting as teacher in Sycamore class this term and am very excited about the coming term.

What have you been up to? Have you stayed at home or been away?

Have you read any great books?

Have you seen any long lost cousins?

Did you try any strange or exotic food?

I spent Christmas with lots of members of my family.
